Staci Sklar Taylor is technically in her third season as a graphic designer, but is still newish because she took time off to travel, have a kid, keep said kid alive, etc. She graduated in May 2014 with a bunch of kids half her age, with more dignity but less sanity than when she started (case in point: she thinks this is a bio for a Saturday Night Live cast member; she also thinks people still watch Saturday Night Live [as well they should!]).
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Staci earned a business degree from Georgia Tech in 2001 and started her first career in the Intellectual Property group at an international law firm, Troutman Sanders. This is where she discovered that becoming a lawyer was a really bad idea. She moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2008 and was an original cast member of The Real Housewives of Chattanooga (NOTE: THIS WAS NOT A REAL FRANCHISE) until going back to school in 2010. Since her second graduation, she no longer resides in a state of constant panic, at least not one to be blamed on school (the kid comes with a constant panic button; I ordered the easy button, but it's still on backorder...).
This is the part where I switch to first person (about time!). I enjoy designing logos, identity packages, invitations, posters, patterns, and pretty much anything else. I spend troubling amounts of time watching the mail box for the easy button I ordered, and I enjoy reading, writing and watching a random assortment of things on Netflix. It should be said that my dream job is writing sketches for Saturday Night Live and/or co-hosting The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I would also settle for just meeting Jimmy Fallon. And challenging him to a lip sync battle.
